Lexi Koch

          My name is Lexi Koch and I am a junior at Blue Valley West. I enrolled in photo 2 because I really enjoyed photo 1. I have always loved to take and look at pictures. This class taught me to look at things in different ways. Whether it be close up or far away I enjoy looking at the missing details and learning from my mistakes and improving as the year goes on. My favorite thing about photo is seeing how the pictures turn out. You can't see all the details in the dark room so coming out and getting it out of the wash is the best, because you get to see what you like and dont like and can make room for improvments.  I love the feeling when it turns out good and you feel proud of yourself. I not only got to experience different processing techniques but i also got to meet new people with the same interest as me. I love photography, I love being creative and unique and trying new things. I also loved all the alternative processes we did this year it made the class more fun. My favorite part about photo 2 is that we get more freedom and can take pictures of what we want. My favorite alternative process we did was when we used vaseline and smudged our faces on paper, I also really enjoyed the cyanotype and experiencing color. Photography is a good way to experience new things and just having fun with it.
